Greetings, peoples! The insanely talented ~swyattart has called out to the general populace of DeviantArt to challenge him to redesign existing comicbook characters… just to show off how awesome he is.

I challenged him to draw Spidey if he was created in the modern age of comics, when the colour choices aren’t constrained by the modest number of pre-mixed colours available in printing. :3 Click to see what he came up with. I wasn’t banking on colouring the fella, but this ended up the most fun that I’ve had in a while.

Huge thanks to ~happeningstock for the Brick Wall Stock in the background, which I didn’t want to leave blank. This seemed to be a cool choice, as that drove the rest of the colouring and seemed to fit Redux Spidey’s pose. :3
I decided to give Spidey a leathery costume, to fit the exoskeleton of your garden variety Black Widow Spider. :3

I had a nice time colouring this. ^_^
