And it’s finally here!
This is a completely original image that flashed through my brain one evening. ( Perhaps even born out of re-thought, re-arranged dream elements after watching ‘Shootout’).
…Perhaps the shooter was waiting for them…a predator in the shadows. A small-time crook, or perhaps the hound-dog of some bigger fish. No one knew then. The rain was beating down, mixing with blood and carrying it away into the sewers. Did Starsky’s blood belong there?…He hadn’t deserved this.
The noise had been too sudden, a thundering scream amplified by the walls and swallowed by the rising fog. Then he fell, diving into the milky haze…

This art work took seemingly aeons, but the result…apart from some amateurish glitches, isn’t half bad. As usual, I used minimal references: Hutch’s and Starsky’s face (slightly modified of course), as for the gun (first time ever drawn) was drawn from a ‘profile’ image and rotated by my imagination. Unfortunately I just couldn’t nail Hutch, so apologies to all the Hutchphiliacs , and the skin still looks too plastic…ah well enjoy the over-all atmosphere.
