Created as one of the two decorative papier-mâché pieces for our new RSPCA shop in East London. Although this came first, its less successful than the subsequent cat. *blush* Despite this, I like parts of him, such as the back, for example, as it fully displays the rather funky flame-fur pattern. Other than that, his paws as well as his muzzle are badly angular.
Still, he now sits atop a shelf, faithfully guarding our shop since December the first. Whenever I come in to volunteer there, the following conversation takes place between moi and the shops manageress:
Yel: You know, you dont HAVE to have him there. He is rather ugly. Aysh: No, no! I like him. He guards the shop. Yel: Are you sure? Cause you dont have to tip toe around me, if you hate him its cool. I wont think any less of you. Aysh: Noooo, its fine. And I place the shop above everything, peoples feelings included. Yel: As long as youre ok with his ugly and scary ass up there.
Papier-mâché, painted with horrible poster paints that werent very forgiving of my intricate design. About fifty centimeters in height. Eight days' work.

I loves it, he looks like a cool mexican pinata! Except he looks as if you dared touch him with a stick, he would burst into flames and kill you as revenge!
Hey! Welcome back! <3 I didn't realise you were back on dA! More art please! More cows and sheep, per favore.
Thank you for the commentage. Aye, I didn't want to paint him in the usual brown/white dog colouring. The manageress wanted it to be bright red, which I thought was a bit much.. so we came to a compromise. :3 Danke!

A brand new monthly article which showcases some of deviantART's finest equine artists, as well as recognizing the lesser-known but equally talented ones. Interviews, helpful tutorials and features can all be found here too! I hope you enjoy it.
The idea of this contest is to set you up completely blind with a mythical being - from any world culture - and turn you loose to come up with a deviation based around it!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
