Created as one of the two decorative papier-mâché pieces for our new RSPCA shop in East London. Although this came first, it’s less successful than the subsequent cat. *blush* Despite this, I like parts of him, such as the back, for example, as it fully displays the rather funky flame-fur pattern. Other than that, his paws as well as his muzzle are badly angular.

Still, he now sits atop a shelf, faithfully guarding our shop since December the first. Whenever I come in to volunteer there, the following conversation takes place between moi and the shop’s manageress:

Yel: “You know, you don’t HAVE to have him there. He is rather ugly.”
Aysh: “No, no! I like him. He guards the shop.”
Yel: “Are you sure? ‘Cause you don’t have to tip toe around me, if you hate him it’s cool. I won’t think any less of you.”
Aysh: “Noooo, it’s fine. And I place the shop above everything, people’s feelings included.”
Yel: “As long as you’re ok with his ugly and scary ass up there.”

Papier-mâché, painted with horrible poster paints that weren’t very forgiving of my intricate design. About fifty centimeters in height. Eight days' work.
